My path to weight loss!

I never thought I had a weight problem, though I've always been the kind of girl who had to keep a bit of watch on my body, I wasn't exactly born with that naturally athletic nature, or high metabolize. But in my youth it was never a primary concern, somehow I maintained a healthy range, but as I got closer to my upper teens and young adult hood I slowly started to gain.

I am five foot four, and I think at my best weight I was 120 pounds, thats probably when I was 16 and already filled out as a young woman. My early twenties I started to gain over the course of the years. It was pretty gradual I think, thats why I didn't quite notice it. Years later at the age of 26 in 2009 I weighed 150 pounds. Finally I started to really see myself as overweight, I had some pretty bad muffin top going on! my arms my face, all of it was thicker. I didn't call myself fat then either, I called myself "chunky" but lets face it, I was a form of fat!

Yes in the past I told myself "I'm going to work out more" and I would for a few weeks, not see results and get board of the treadmill, tired of the walks and the running. They always became like a chore, and I quickly lost interest, not to mention where were the results of all my hard work in working out!? It wasn't until my husband Tom told me he was going to install this program on my computer called the "CRON-O-METER" which would track my calorie intake each day based on the foods I put into it that I ate. There was an amazing theory that if I could figure out how much calories I should be eating a day for my size and age and created a 500 calorie deficit I would loose one pound a week with NO exorcise!! O.o So, I tried it, and got amazing results!

The best part is, this is NOT what I consider a diet, its just a better way of eating! Your not being told what to keep and cut out, you make that up on your own based on calorie intake. And it does not go unrewarded, weekends for me was time for whatever bad food treats I wanted, and I STILL lost weight! one pound a week ;)
